Washington, D.C. (March 31, 2013) - The Bible, the 10-part miniseries that shattered ratings records for The History Channel, leads this week's top releases on Blu-ray high-def disc.

The series, which retells stories from the Scriptures, finished its 10 episode run on Easter night. Nielsen reports that each episode has been watched by roughly 13 million viewers, easily surpassing the ratings of shows on the broadcast networks which have larger audiences.

But don't forget to take a look at 1996's That Thing You Do, produced by Tom Hanks. The movie chronicles the early days of a fictional band in the 1960s that leaps from obscurity to fame on the shaky ground of a single hit record. However, as one-hit wonders often do, the band slowly begins to dissolve when the spotlight gets too hot.

Liv Tyler is both alluring and touching as the girlfriend of the lead singer; Tom Everett Scott is funny and genuine as the drummer Tyler turns to when Mr. Singer's ego explodes; and Hanks himself makes a lengthy cameo as the band's cynical manager. (Also don't miss a small part by a very young and beautiful Charlize Theron.) Fun flick a! nd guaranteed to get your toe tapping.
