"I would redo the entire third act if I could," Bay admitted. Director Michael Bay has been nominated for four Razzie Awards for his work behind-the-camera on films like "Pearl Harbor," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." But there's one film that even Bay is sorry you had to pay to see. In arecent profilein the MiamiHerald , Bay explains what went wrong on his least-favorite film he has done: I will apologize for Armageddon . We had to do the whole movie in 16 weeks. It was a massive undertaking. That was not fair to the movie. I would redo the entire third act if I could. But the studio literally took the movie away from us. It was terrible. My visual effects supervisor had a nervous breakdown, so I had to be in charge of that. I called James Cameron and asked What do you do when youre doing all the effects yourself? But the movie did fine. www.imdb.com "Armageddon" is about a misfit team o

The bad boys from Boston, Aerosmith, have touched down to a small but enthusiastic reception at Christchurch international airport. The band, with about seven trolleys of luggage in tow, posed with fans after being welcomed with a spirited powhiri in the arrivals lounge about 7.20pm. Lead singer Steven Tyler accepted the challenge, dropping to his knees during the haka. Tyler, who was a judge on American Idol, then spoke a few words in Maori before singing some lines from his hit song I Dont Want To Miss A Thing - albeit a bit wonky on the tuning. He told Stuff it was an honour to be in New Zealand, a place he had heard a lot about from daughter Liv Tyler, who starred in Lord of the Rings. The band is staying at the George hotel in Christchurch tonight and will fly in their private jet tomorrow to Dunedin for a one-night only show. Asked what was in his rider, Tyler said abo

Do you know how many babies have been born to Dont Wanna Miss A Thing? Five days out from jetting off to Australia, DARREN LEVIN finds Aerosmith lead singer and certified rock legend Steven Tyler in inimitable form. Whether hes on stage or on Skype, Steven Tyler is always putting on a show. Seconds after being connected to FL from Los Angeles, he introduces himself with a vigorous, Waddup? The Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer is crass, candid, charming, and sometimes confrontational. When I mishear an answer, he fires back with a wry, Oh, were you doing something else?, and hes certainly not afraid to put you in your place. Its not called that, he corrects after I ask him about a celebrity privacy bill hes spearheaded in Hawaii, which the press have erroneously dubbed the Steven Tyler Act. Other times, hes like a new age Svengali, name-dropping motivational speakers and preaching the kind of self-help aphorisms youd read in The Secret . Some people are just born to be rockstars and Steven

'Olympus Has Fallen' vs. 'White House Down': And the Battle of Other Nearly Identical Movies

(Photo: Columbia | FilmDistrict ) It's hard to watch the trailer for Channing Tatum 's upcoming action flick without a lingering sense of deja vu . "I could have sworn this movie already existed, only I remember it having the half-naked guy from that gladiator movie instead of the half-naked guy from that stripper movie," you'll think to yourself. And you'll be right, because you'll be thinking of Gerard Butler 's recent Olympus Has Fallen , which, like Tatum's White House Down (out later this year), is basically Die Hard meets Air Force One . It seems like a flawed strategy making two movies with near carbon copy premises and releasing them within months of each other but the Hollywood studios have been doing it for decades. Think of it as the place where lack of creativity meets the spirit of competition. It's in that spirit of competition that we pit these like-minded cinematic pairs against each other in a scientific (read: complete
