Liv Tyler: Style inspiration is all around

Liv Tyler sees fashion inspiration "every day" while she's wondering around New York. The stunning star is famed for her casually chic wardrobe choices, and says her style ideas are conceived from very simple beginnings. Liv looks to her family members and fellow New York residents for fashion inspiration. "My grandmother and mother, old films, photos and from observing all of the colourful characters I see around me every day in New York," she said of her beauty and style inspiration, before revealing her style icons: "It's got to be Rita Hayworth and Debbie Harry. I'd love to try being a platinum blonde like Debbie." Liv prefers to keep her hair styling simple when she's not in front of the camera. The Hollywood beauty has a ritual when it comes to looking after her tresses on a daily basis. "Because my hair is styled a lot for filming, photo shoots, events and so on, I have a hair care regime," she explained in an interview wit

Liv Tyler gets beauty tips from dad

Liv Tyler and her rock star father are "always comparing" beauty products. The actress told Elle magazine that her dad Steven Tyler liked to look after his skin with face creams. "We're always comparing face creams and masks - he has cupboards full of them," she said. Liv has her father's trademark pout and thick brunette hair, but the similarities ended there. "We have really different hairstyles," she said. "He has a lot of things sewn into his hair, little jewels and stuff, and he likes to bend his head forward and blow it with two blow-dryers to get lots of volume in the roots, while I like to wear mine straight and flat." As the face of Pantene, Liv took good care to maintain the health of her long tresses. "I use a lot of conditioner - like, a whole handful - and I leave it on for a long time. It makes my hair really soft and fluffy," she said. She also emulates her grandmother's approach to beauty care. "She taug

This modern gel-powder texture gives a soft sheen of colour that is easy to blend and should be applied, advises Nicolas, where the sun naturally hits your face. "That means on your cheekbones, up into your hairline, across your forehead, a little down your nose and just a dab on the chin all blended very well. The secret is not to mimic a tan but to give a healthy radiance, a perfect glow, a luminosity to the skin." Transforming pallid British complexions into th

Sharon Stone: Flaunt your body

Monday Apr 9 2012 Sharon Stone says you should dress according to your body not your date of birth. The 54-year-old actress still causes a stir when she attends red carpet events. Sharon is famously proud of her body and isn't afraid to make the best of her appearance. She finds it frustrating when people expect her to cover up just because she is getting older. "We should burn those magazine's pages which tell you what to wear according to your age," the former model is quoted as saying by madame.lefigaro.fr. "What matters is your body, not your date of birth." Sharon also shared her views on cosmetic surgery. She understands why some people go under the surgeon's knife to delay the signs of ageing. The star also has sympathy for men who are eager to maintain their youthful appearance - but doesn't think guys should have too much work done. "I think plastic surgeons have mastered what they do," she added. "If you want to do it and it
