Actress Liv Tyler has taken up meditation to help her deal with attention deficit disorder.

The Lord of the Rings star reveals she has long struggled with the behavioural condition, but she has learned to calm her mind by mastering the mental discipline.

She tells the New York Daily News, "I have ADD. It (meditation) definitely helps. It helps with everything."

Tyler, whose dad is Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, isn't the only celebrity to seek the benefits of meditation - Jeff Bridges, Sting, Russell Simmons, Russell Brand and his estranged wife Katy Perry are also known to put their minds at ease through the peaceful practice.
