Katie Holmes Starring in Single Mom Movie - Hollywood's Hottest Single Moms

Katie Holmes not only filed for divorce from her husband Tom Cruise but she will also be getting a look at single life in her next movie, "Molly." In "Molly," Holmes plays a single mother who raises her daughter in the film, which Holmes also co-wrote and co-produced.

While the divorce is expected to be fierce, and the upcoming movie will only shine more light on it, Holmes seems to be trying to move on in her new life. The actress is fighting for full custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Suri, and is joining the ranks of Hollywood's hottest single moms.

Liv Tyler

After Liv Tyler separated from her husband in 2008, the actress left Hollywood for two years to focus on raising her child, Milo. The beautiful actress didn't seem to miss the business, as raising her son was the most important thing for her. Even while making her return to movies in "The Incredible Hulk" and "The Strangers" in 2009, she admitted that Milo always came first in her life.

"I just feel so lucky and grateful to be a mother," Tyler said at the time. "I cherish every second of everyday and try to be as present as I can for him

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron is not only one of Hollywood's hottest single mothers but she is also one of the few who adopted her child as a single mom. Theron, who has remained single since splitting up with long-time boyfriend Stuart Townsend, has no qualms with adopting a child, despite having no significant other.

"I always knew I would adopt. Always," Theron said. "You know, I don't think any mother aims to be a single mom. I didn't wish for that, but it happened."

S! andra Bu llock

Unlike Theron, Sandra Bullock was not single when she started to work on adopting a child. She and husband Jesse James planned to adopt Louis Bardo but things fell apart when James was caught cheating. Bullock filed for divorce but continued with the adoption on her own, becoming one of Hollywood's most beautiful single mothers. After winning an Oscar for "The Blind Side," Bullock took time off to raise her new child.

"I was just so happy being a mom. I'm still very happy being a mom," Bullock said. "That just shifted and became my full priority."
