Liv Tyler: Perfume smells better on my gran

Liv Tyler says her favourite perfume smells better on her grandmother.

The actress, who is a face of French fashion and cosmetics house Givenchy, explained that every time she visits, she is amazed by the elderly ladys scent before realising it is the perfume she wears herself.

The mother-of-one also admitted she keeps a selection of scents to remind herself of her childhood.

I have a collection of fragrances Ive had since I was a teenager I dont wear them, I just smell them for the memories, she told British magazine Now. I wear Very Irresistible - its delicious but I think it smells better on my grandmother! Every time I see her I say: You smell so good, and she says: Very Irresistible.

Liv also named the essentials she cannot travel without.

Having starred in international movie hits such as Lord of the Rings, the brunette beauty is a pro when it comes to staying comfortable and fresh on long journeys.

When I travel, I always take my PJs, iPod, toothbrush, lots of moisturising lip balm and Emergen-C powder sachets for an instant energy boost, she said.
