Givenchy has collaborated with Sony Music Entertainment on what is said to be "an electrifying meeting between the world of rock and the universe of perfume." There is currently no word on Tyler's song choice, although it will reportedly be a reworking of a hit song. New York-based musician David Andrew Sitek, who has collaborated with indie bands including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars and Foals, is set to produce. Tyler has been the face of Very Irrsistible Givenchy since its launch in 2003, and in July this year was announced as the face of Givenchy Beauty. Tyler often discusses her passion for music in interviews, and even auditioned for a role in the 2001 musical movie Moulin Rouge! Givenchy's decision to capitalize

Liv Tyler: You can learn style

Liv Tyler insists that style isnt just something youre born with. The stunning actress is celebrated for her fashion credentials, but insists that having an eye for style is something that can be learnt. Liv thinks budding fashionistas should embrace finding their own direction when it comes to their signature style. Style isn't just something you're born with. There are certain people with whom I've grown up who have an innate ability to dress themselves well - everything they put on looks incredibly sophisticated, simple and elegant, she told British newspaper The Telegraph. But you can learn to find your own style, too, and it's exciting to grow and develop it. Don't feel as though you need to be dressing a certain way - fashion is great because it allows you to pick and choose what works for you and what doesn't. Liv says fashion should come naturally. The 34-year-old star believes wardrobe choices should be a spontaneous decision. Don't overthink your l

Watch films, look at old photos of models and actors, and observe and study people. You'll see that the things you are most drawn to are the sorts of looks you could recreate. Printed trousers are having a moment and the way to wear them is loud and proud

By Gemma Hayward Thursday Dec 8 2011 Its a trend thats spreading like wildfire; a trend that is transforming a run-of-the-mill wardrobe staple and a trend that more than a few out there may think is utterly ghastly. Whichever way you look at it, its having the mother of all effects on a pair of trousers near you. The transformation of trousers from classic wardrobe staple to look-at-me fashion statement began last season with acid bright jeans (an acquired and determinedly youthful taste) and peg-leg trousers (belted and gathered high on the waist, 1980s style, these were also far from shy and retiring). Now, pattern and print are the story and legs citywide have never been covered in so loud and proud a manner. The autumn-hued plum (sorry, aubergine) coloured trouser is still a force to be reckoned with, but its positively demure compared to any number of more busy alternatives. There arent many things in the world to which a leopard hasnt lent its spots and, with that in mind,a big-c

The resulting photos are faithful to what theyve been like for the past few years , Posy tells PEOPLE, noting that the images are very simple, black and white, but with something quite tough and honest. And if you were expecting traditional editorial poses, the 29-year-old says, I dont think its fashion-y at all. Its closer to rock n roll. Founded in 1989, the high-end denim label has quite the star-studded fan base, ranging from Charlize Theron to Jay-Z . Past famous faces of the European-based contemporary brand include Liv Tyler and Gemma Arterton . Posy, best known for her role as Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter series, said that her acting experience came in handy when shooting the ads. "I look at fashion shoots like making very short movies and telling a very short story," she said. Posy was also part of a 2008 Chlo fragrance campaign with Chlo Sevigny and model beauty Anja Rubik . Its The Real Breaks Down Nominees For Sucker Free Awards

Image
MTV2's weekly hip-hop countdown show " Sucker Free " is crowning the kings and queens of rap this Sunday at 11 p.m. with its own awards show . Held at LIV Fountainebleau Miami Beach, the Sucker Free Awards will be anything but traditional, with the YMCMB performance already getting lots of buzz. To get our heads around this year's SFA nominees, we decided to enlist the help of the foremost hip-hop experts we know, Eric and Jeff Rosenthal from Its The Real . The hosts of MTV Clutch's The Check-In have done the Master P dance with Chromeo , forced Childish Gambino to answer questions as Common and joked about hipster mustaches with Talib Kweli , so we're pretty sure they're qualified to discuss anything hip-hop. And we should immediately believe and support their opinions without question. Must Follow Artist Eric: This is a tough one, they all seem very permissible, but I think in the end the p! erson wh o's going to win will be Chris Brown b

'Fashion Hunters' recap: Price Wars

Melanie VanDerveer Marc Jacobs, Valentino, Louboutin. These are a few of Second Time Around's favorite things. When these designer pieces walk into the store to be consigned, everyone's radars go up. But while everyone loves them, there is no lack of disputing going on when pricing them. Consigner, Yulia, walked into the store with a Marc Jacobs dress retailing at $3,800. She walked in with the thought of not settling for anything less than $3,000, but that's not how she walked out. She said it was from the limited collection and designed for Liv Tyler, although Tyler never wore it. Manager of the store, Tara, knew right off the bat that this consigner was going to be a tough one. She offered her $1,200 for the dress and without missing a beat, Yulia said no. Then she went to $1,500, and Yulia came back with $1,600. This consigner was a smooth operator and knew just what buttons to push on Tara, so Tara finally gave in and said, "Absolutely $1,600 for a new relationshi

Let Mr. I 'engage in dialogue' with you

Idle Thoughts, while waiting for the high school football playoffs, ESPN4 and for the Giants to punt to DeSean Jackson again: Mr. Idle, Mr. I to his close friends, isn't so sure about having a hip hop DJ at UConn women's basketball games to rile up the crowd. Doesn't this, you know, miss the target audience? (Sigh). Half of them probably think "R. Kelly" is the guy the Yankees once traded for "P. O'Neill." Mr. I chuckled at New London mayor-elect Finizio's line during his announcement of Chief Ackley's (and Chief Samul's) return: "We've engaged in extended dialogue since the election," Finizio began. Engaged in dialogue. Remember back in the days when people simply "talked?" It got Mr. I to wonder what would happen if you substituted "engage in dialogue" for "talk" in everyday life: Joe Jones' 1960 hit would have been "You Engage In Dialogue Too Much." We'd all be warned that

Model Dean Kelly charged with contraband

Published: Nov. 23, 2011 at 8:28 PM NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Former model Dean Kelly, imprisoned in New Orleans for alleged sexual assault, has been charged with possessing contraband, officials said. Kelly has been held the Orleans Parish Prison in lieu of $2.85 million bond since March. A grand jury indicted him in June for allegedly raping a 17-year-old in December 2005. In August, he was charged separately with raping a 14-year-old in February 2005. The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune said Kelly, 40, was most recently charged with hiding two 8-inch metal rods in his cell. His lawyer Frank DeSalvo said he couldn't confirm whether Kelly possessed the rods, but said guards aren't protecting him from being beaten by his fellow inmates and suggested he might have obtained the items to defend himself. "I don't know whether he was doing anything with them or if they were even his," the newspaper quoted DeSalvo as saying. "He's had the bejeezus beaten out o
